Child Safety Standards

Huka is an adults-only platform. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, in the app or anywhere connected to it.

1. Who we are and what this covers

These standards apply to Huka, the dating app published on Google Play as Huka (package zw.co.tango.huka), and to our website, huka.co.zw. They set out how we prevent, detect and act on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) across our service.

2. Zero tolerance for CSAE

We explicitly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes, without limitation:

  • Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
  • Grooming — befriending or building trust with a child to enable sexual abuse or exploitation, on or off the platform.
  • Sextortion, sexualised contact with or about minors, trafficking, or the advertisement or facilitation of any of the above.
  • Any attempt by an adult to contact, solicit or meet a minor through Huka.

Violations result in immediate account termination and, where the law requires or permits, referral to the relevant authorities.

3. Adults only, verified by national ID

  • Huka is for adults 18 and over. Minors are not permitted to create or hold an account.
  • Profile verification on Huka requires a Zimbabwean national ID. A member's age and gender are derived from the ID document itself — not self-declared — which gives Huka a materially stronger age gate than typical self-reported sign-ups.
  • Accounts found to belong to minors are removed as soon as we become aware of them.

4. In-app reporting and moderation

  • Every profile and every chat carries a one-tap Report and Block action, so any member can flag a concern without leaving the app.
  • Our team reviews every report.
  • Profile photos are screened with automated content filtering before they are accepted.
  • Members who violate these standards are suspended or permanently removed.

5. How we handle CSAM

When we become aware of CSAM or CSAE on the service, we:

  • Remove the material and terminate the offending account immediately;
  • Preserve the associated evidence as the law allows; and
  • Report it to the appropriate child-safety and law-enforcement authorities, including the Zimbabwe Republic Police and — where applicable — international bodies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

6. Compliance with child safety laws

Huka complies with the child protection and reporting laws applicable to our service, including the laws of Zimbabwe, and cooperates with lawful requests from law enforcement relating to child safety.

7. Contact us about child safety

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. For anything relating to child safety on Huka — reports, questions or requests from authorities — our designated child safety contact is safety@huka.co.zw. Reports can also be made directly inside the app from any profile or chat.
