Before you meet
- Keep chats on Huka. Get to know someone here first. Be wary of anyone rushing to move to another app.
- Protect your details. Hold off on sharing your home or work address, financial info or other private details.
- Watch for red flags. Sob stories, requests for money, or pressure to move fast are classic scam signs. Never send money to someone you haven't met.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. You can block or report anyone, no explanation needed.
Meeting in person
- Meet in public. Pick a busy café, restaurant or bar for the first few dates.
- Tell a friend. Let someone you trust know where you're going, who with, and when you expect to be back.
- Sort your own transport. Arrive and leave on your own terms so you're never stranded.
- Stay in control. Keep an eye on your drink and know your limits. You can leave any time you want.
If something goes wrong
Block and report the person straight from their profile or your chat — one tap each. Our team reviews every report, and blocked users can't see or reach you again.
If you ever feel you're in danger, contact your local authorities first, then reach us at support@huka.co.zw.
